If you love literature, or if you are a big fan of certain writer, I bet you would not like to miss a good chance to get close to literature masters. The program I’d like to promote is International Writer Workshop. There are plenty of public and on campus activities of Visiting Writers during this October and November. You may find more details on the activity list via this link (http://iww.hkbu.edu.hk/index.php?fl=activities_vw_2012),posters and etc.

In terms of gaining more knowledge of poetry, to compare works by poets from different countries would be a smart choice. Here I give you the list of poets among the visiting writers this year:

Ouyang Jianghe (Mainland China, 1956 -)
Nguyen Phan Que Mai (Vietnam, 1973- )
Meena Kandasamy (India, 1984 – )

In addition, you’d better research a bit about those visiting writers through the brief introduction after your decision of enrollment. Of course, you might have already known that, the best way is to borrow their publications from the library to go through the works to “know” them better.

Let’s take action and dive into the deep-sea called “literature”!

I believe that these activities deserve to be taken a glance at. Later I’ll keep an eye on the news of these activities and might share my experience enrolling in the Workshop of Fiction Writing last semester.
